Responsibilities:
This candidate will be involved in a variety
of manufacturing process and projects, including new equipment testing,
and evaluation, facility design related work and start-up, new materials
testing program, transfer of technology from process development
departments, process and technology development support. Primary
responsibilities will be focusing on production of biopharmaceuticals,
fermentation technology development, performing experiments in the
laboratory, pilot plant and large scale production setups. In addition,
the responsibilities will also include collaboration with Pharmaceutical
Research and Development, Validation, Quality and Corporate Engineering.
Requirements:
The candidate should have biopharmaceuticals,
Cell Culture and Fermentation experience in an industrial setting.
The skills should include an understanding of chemical engineering
principles, experimental design, and general laboratory techniques.
Other skills include good problem solving and the ability to work
independently and in teams and a good knowledge of computer applications
for data logging and record keeping of continuous and batch type
operations.. Good interpersonal, collaborative and communication
skills are also required. BS or MS in chemical/biochemical engineering
or related fields with 3 to 6 years of experience will be essential
for this position. Appropriate candidates with longer work experience
will also be considered if otherwise suitable.
