Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include patent application
drafting, filing and prosecution, drafting and negotiation of various
research and licensing agreements. Also drafting opinions and developing
legal strategies associated with IntePharm's business and research
endeavors. The candidate should expect to get involved in drafting
opinion for involvement in some copyright, trademark and litigation
matters. The candidate should also have responsibilities to defend
company's position for any intellectual property related litigation
in the court of law if required.
Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of 5-7 years
of experience of working with pharmaceutical and related business's
intellectual property matters or experience in actual patent filings,
or dealing with the U.S. Patent Office in Washington, D.C. This
position also requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in all
aspects of U.S. and foreign intellectual property law relating to
chemistry, preferably in the pharmaceutical or agrichemical industries,
and requires a J.D. degree and a minimum of MS degree in life science
or Chemistry or in any associated field of science for the admission
to practice before the state bar and the U.S. Patent Office. It
would be advantageous for the candidate to have prior experience
of working with diversified fields of research and as a lead attorney
in a reputed law firm in US in addition to working in an operating
company, actively involved in research with biological sciences.
Experience and understanding of working with regulatory authorities
like FDA or USDA would be a plus.
